John Evans, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, has served the financial services industry since 2005. In 2026, he partnered with Mike Roozeboom, his fellow colleague from MidwestOne Investment Services, to form the firm Roozeboom Evans Wealth.

John is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance. He holds his Series 7, 24, 52, 53, 63, and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial and maintains Life/Health Insurance licenses in multiple states.

Before entering the financial world, John was a golf professional for more than 10 years and a PGA of America member for more than 7. He spent that time working at four different clubs and courses in the Midwest. Golf still plays an important role in his life, and he manages to find time to enjoy a few rounds of golf in his down time.

Golf and financial planning can be very similar. Every level of golfer has hit some great shots and some not-so great ones. Every investor has made some good financial choices and some bad ones. Building your financial plan is about being able to take advantage of your good shots while preparing for the inevitable bad shots. It is this love and challenge of the “game” that drives John to always strive for success for his clients.

The rest of his free time is spent with family. John’s wife, Jennifer, is the director and Lead Instructor at the Body Lab for Nolte Dance Academy and their two daughters, Payton and Ellie, are busy making their mark on the world as young adults. John has also found a way to be involved with his favorite Hawkeyes, doing sports broadcasting for Learfield.
